Acwell Licorice pH Balancing Essence Mist Review

Acwell Licorice pH Balancing Essence Mist Review

The Acwell Licorice pH Balancing Essence Mist is a hydrating facial mist with an ultra-fine spray nozzle. Acwell is a Korean skincare brand based on Korean traditional medicine and developed with sensitive skin in mind.

This product is sold exclusively at Soko Glam. I received a full size version of this product as part of a gift with my purchase.

My Overall Experience

9/10. The Acwell Licorice pH Balancing Essence Mist is a great option for relieving dehydrated skin mid-day or even replacing a toner/essence on lazy days. It is one of the most hydrating mists I’ve used!

The spray nozzle also delivers on what it advertises – a perfectly even, ultra-fine mist! While I did not personally use this product to help set makeup, I think it would do a good job at this. There are no unwanted large and uneven droplets on your face, common with typical spray bottles.

This face mist must be shaken well as it contains some oils. I found that I was left with a higher concentration of oils at bottom of the bottle. As a result, my only annoyance was that sometimes the mist would get onto my hair and make it a bit greasy!

Where To Buy

The Acwell Licorice pH Balancing Essence Mist retails for US$24 (100ml) and is sold exclusively at Soko Glam. Click here to purchase the product from Soko Glam.

Key Ingredients

The Acwell Licorice pH Balancing Essence Mist’s key ingredients include:

  • Licorice Root Water – helps to brighten and soothe irritated skin.
  • Centella Asiatica Leaf Water – healing properties that help to soothe the skin. Centella is also often used in products that help reduce inflammation and redness.
  • Bamboo Water – helps to lock in moisture and soothe the skin.

Other reviewers noted sensitivity from the bergamot oil included in the product. I personally am not sensitive to fragrance or essential oils but those who are sensitive should take note.

Texture and Scent

The face mist has a milky color and watery consistency. It leaves a dewy finish from the oils in the product. Soko Glam describes the product as having no added fragrance.

How I Use It

I typically use the Acwell Licorice pH Balancing Essence Face Mist straight out of the shower to help trap moisture left on my skin. I also use it as a moisture boost when my skin feels dehydrated mid-day. It can also be used to help set makeup. Remember to shake the product well before using!

Packaging

The product comes in a lightweight brown-tinted plastic bottle with a spray nozzle and cap. I would have loved to reuse the bottle for its fine spray nozzle but I did not have any success detaching it.
